Social Justice & Thanksgiving Lunch at YES Club House

Hi everyone. As you remember last month we had a gathering where we talked about Social Justice. I was very happy to hear that many of you were interested in getting involved in social activities so I would like to invite everyone to make a difference in our community and in others peoples' lives.

This Wednesday November 21st. we will be having a Thanksgiving lunch at the YES Club house. (Youth Engage in Service). YES is an after school and summer club for youth from 11-18 years old. Ninety percent of these kids live in poverty, experiencing family dysfunction, struggling with emotional or physical disabilities, and/or are in foster care.

The activities will start at 10 am and will finish at 2 pm . We are allow to take some music to the children so if you play any instrument and you think you would like to help by bringing your guitar or any other instrument please let me know as soon as possible. We will also be doing some crafts and after that we will have a Thanksgiving lunch with them.

So what better way to engage in social justice than share your time, get to know others and influence their lives in a positive way?

If you think you would like to join us and you can make it for this day send me an email to v_cynth@yahoo.com or call me to 740 366-18-66 or contact any of the community group leaders (Justin and Brandon).

I will see you soon.

God Bless

Cynthia
P.S.- YES CLub House address is 39 N First Street, Newark Downtown.
